As some of you know, EZBoard is being migrated to Yuku.com.
Staying with EZBoard is not an option. EZBoard will not exist after the migration to Yuku is complete.
Rob's blog from March 14 says "We are not going to turn off ezboard.com at the end of 2006. We will turn off ezboard.com when everyone has moved to Yuku."
"No. You can't keep your board on ezboard forever. ... Eventually all ezboards will be moved to Yuku, but you don't have to move right now, or even very soon. There will be a cutoff date when all ezboards will be moved to Yuku, but we don't know that exact date. The date will be determined when Yuku has the features that people need, and we are working with some admins now to identify the features they need to make them feel comfortable about moving."
Now, any move we make will NOT be made hastily, and as seen above we have months, and likely more, to make our decision and set up for whichever move we make. This is a PRELIMINARY poll, to find out the general feel of the Guilders on the matter. The outcome of this poll will not necessarily be the path we end up taking.
The two options we have are go with the move to Yuku, or put our own board on gryphguild.org. There are many, many options for our own board, so if people are interested in pursuing that path, there will be more polls, discussions and so on related to which board people think would suit the Guild best.
Please educate yourself on the matter before voting -- check out the Yuku profiles and so on to get a feel for Yuku and what it's like. (You can do this by going to your EZboard control center and clicking the banner, or directly to yuku.com.)
Also, discussion in this thread (civilized please!) is highly encouraged, and you're welcome to discuss BEFORE voting, if you would like, to find out why people are inclined one way or the other.
