Hey! I've been a fan of the site for who knows how long, yet have never joined until now. Looking to make friends on here, the environment seems very interesting and fun. I'm still trying to figure out the whole gryphcode thing, still haven't gotten the hang of it yet*chuckles*.

Yeah, the Gryphcode rocks. It's a little confusing, but if you work your way through it from top to bottom it's nt that hard. Write it down on paper first, if you have to. (I had to, twice.) You don't need to have a code for every single category, if it doesn't apply, ignore it and progress to the next. Then, you can enter it into your signature (see the Tech Center forum on the main Forums menu; there's a sticky thread on that subject). Hey, just wanted to try and get the ball rolling, maybe start off and try to get to know ppl on here since I am indeed a newbie*chuckles*. Hope my username isn't too incriminating...
since I'm asking to get to know and meet people I guess I should introduce myself first. Welcome Bynx, and good to have you on board. I am Nareem; my avatar is the lovely pirate lady seen at left. She's an aqua-gryph, part penguin/part sea otter. I don't actually use the gryphcode myself, because there aren't many specs for aquatic types - I just explain during introductions, and if people ask.
About myself, I like reading and writing - I'm a writer by profession, so I guess it's a good thing I enjoy my work! I hang out at the Guild to take a load off; I have three jobs and a Master's thesis to worry about right now, so it's good to get away. I also enjoy drawing and art - the sidebar pic is one of mine, and I have an Elfwood Gallery. Other than that, I like cooking, roleplaying (tabletop, not online), and giving life and love advice. Oh man, do I like giving advice. O_o You have been warned.
